Legends and Heroes Tour to Posthumously Honor Local Legend Dan Cunningham at the Foxborough SX

Foxborough, MA - April 19, 2018 - The Legend and Heroes Tour traveling moto museum is pleased to announce that they will posthumously honor local motocross legend Dan Cunningham this Saturday night at round fifteen of the Monster Energy Supercross series at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

The Tour stands behind the belief that “We Don’t Leave History Behind” and has kept the founding fathers, and mothers, pure in their thoughts by honoring the men and women that shaped supercross and motocross into what it is today. Each honoree receives a special commemorative plaque during a special podium presentation on the stadium floor before opening ceremonies.

About Dan Cunningham:

On March 18th, following the St Louis Supercross, Dan Cunningham unexpectedly passed away. He was 43 years old.

Born in nearby Northampton, Massachusetts, Dan was a well-known figure in the New England motocross scene. He held a lifelong passion for motorcycles and motocross, and after high school and college, he continued his education in the field. He became a certified motorcycle technician from MTTI in Rhode Island and in 2006 he and his dad, opened DC’s Cycle Accessories and Service in Haydenville, MA and then Westfield, MA.

Dan came to work with Dunlop tires three years ago, assisting in the operations and taking care of their riders on the National and Supercross tour. It was here that many of the riders and crew got to know Dan and his outgoing personality. He continued to work on motorcycles in the offseason through his company, DCS Suspension.

Dan leaves behind his wife and son, as well as his son’s mother, two sisters, and their families.

Join us this Saturday night in Foxborough as we honor this amazing man.
