Paul attended The Art Institute of Boston where he studied Graphic Design, Advertising and Photography
He went to his first MX race in 1973 in Waterboro, Maine, then started his MX photo career in 1975.
He shot his first Pro National in 1976 at Southwick (also their first National), his first photo from this race being published
in Motocross Action was Kent Howerton just about dragging the bars in a Southwick turn.
Pasul started Moto Sports magazine in 1979 and published it “every once in a while” until 2010.
He has shot for just about every MX magazine in America as well as a bunch from all over the world.
He has also shot for Fox, Alpinestars, Renthal, AXO, Thor, Answer Products, Dunlop, Bell, MSR, Oakley, Gaerne,
Mechanixwear and tons of other companies.
Racer X did an eight-page spread on him with photos called “The Best of Buckley”
With his love of the sport, he has been to about 2,000 motocross races, plus a bunch of Supercross’s, X Games, road races,
super moto races and a few off-road races where he shot an average of 1,200 photos per race, shas shot over 2,000,000 MX photos,
so far and has gone through too many cameras and lenses to count.
Paul is still on a quest to get the perfect motocross photo.
