Tony D. to be honored at the
Lucas Oil Motocross Pro National
Budds Creek Raceway
Tony DiStefano was a top motocross champion of the 1970s. He
won three AMA 250cc National Motocross Championships and an
Inter-AMA title during his nine-year pro career. "Tony D,"
as he was known in the racing world, was also a member of
four U.S. Motocross des Nations teams and was part of the
1974 team that finished second in the international
competition, which proved that American motocross was
finally on par with the established European motocross

Budds Creek Action to Aid Magoo!
In addition to being a really cool guy, Tony D along with Brad
Lackey, Jonathan Beasley and Alex Moroz have banded together to help
Danny “Magoo” Chandler. Tony volunteered to collect all the
memorabillia that will be actioned off at Budds Creek to benefit
Magoo. This is just one way Tony and the gang are giving back to

About the Tour
The Legends & Heroes Tour is a national display of
historical MX history that includes the machines and the champs of
Motocross. The tour will be present at all 12 Lucas Oil
AMA Pro
Motocross
championship events. The project was conceived by a dedicated group
of Motocross enthusiasts who, over the years, have discovered the
value of the rich 40+ years of Motocross legacy and its’ impact on
the American motor sports history. |
